We Get It Right. They Get It Wrong. Really Wrong.

If loving you is wrong I don't want to be right

We get it right.
They get it wrong.
Really wrong.
Why can’t he/she/they see how completely wrong they are?

They need to be told. We need to show them. We can’t give in to their ‘wrongness’ because they may find ‘rightness’ in their ‘wrongness’.

If they were a little:

A. Smarter
B. Less emotional
C. More experienced
D. Less controlling/reckless/argumentative/stubborn…

then they would see our point of view.
The right point of view.

And if they won’t see how wrong they are, then we need to talk to out friends to ‘gage their perspective.’ Tell them the information. Get their opinion. (Bitch a little).

Yes. They confirm we were right.
Everyone sees the situation through our eyes.
We’re right.
They’re wrong.

But sadly those who are wrong, also think ‘they’re right and we’re wrong.’
They wish we were a little:

A. Smarter
B. Less emotional
C. More experienced
D. Less controlling/reckless/argumentative/stubborn…

then we would see their point of view.
Their right point of view.

They’ve been talking to their mates. Bitching a little.
And yes, they’re right and we’re wrong.

But what if we’re both right and we’re both wrong?

(Obviously we’re more right than they are).

But if there’s even a tenth of what they say or think
that has got merit,
that has got value,
that has got worth…
is that worth hearing?

Yes. If we want to grow wise.
Yes. If we want reconciliation.
Yes. If we want to have a better product/strategy/performance/relationship.

When we can be humble and ‘foolish’ enough to give attention to their tenth, our ego diminishes and we can move into a place of vast space.

A grace to see the world through other people’s eyes.

And.
Here…
Is where we discover humanity.
Here…
Is where we learn to respect and hold in tension our views and the views of others.
Here…
Is where we suspend for a moment the belief that we’ve got a monopoly on the truth.

Hear…
Is where we change.

Who do you know that get’s it wrong.
Really wrong?
How can you make it right?
